To meet social responsibilities and to achieve success in the marketplace, we take actions to ensure that MPI and all our stakeholders uphold the highest standards of ethics including aspects such as Business integrity, No improper advantage, Disclosure of information, Intellectual property, Fair business, advertising and competition, Protection of identity and non-retaliation, Responsible sourcing of minerals, and Privacy. This is in line with the provisions of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct.
Our Code of Conduct and Ethics
We are committed to good business ethics and integrity as set out in the Hong Leong Manufacturing Group Code of Conduct and Ethics. Through this, we commit to a high standard of professionalism and ethics in the conduct of business and professional activities. This Code is applicable to
- All employees who work in the Group across the jurisdictions in which the Group operates – including but not limited to permanent, part-time and temporary employees;
- Any other persons permitted to perform duties or functions within the Group – including but not limited to vendors, service providers, contractors, secondees, interns, industrial attachment and agency staff
MPI provides briefing and training to all our employees, and regularly reminds employees about the importance of the Code of Conduct. We also expect our suppliers and business partners to understand and meet our robust requirements.
Ethics and Compliance
Our leaders at each level are uncompromising with respect to safety, ethics and compliance. They play a pivotal role by ensuring through actions and expectations that all business activities and plans must be undertaken in a safe, responsible, ethical and compliant manner. They promote a strong internal control culture through our values and ethics and also the “tone at the top”. Our Board of Directors observe the Code of Ethics for Company Directors.

We encourage our employees and third parties to share any concerns they may have that the Hong Leong Manufacturing Group Code of Conduct and Ethics is being breached, confidentially and anonymously if they wish, and without fear of retaliation. They can use various channels, such as e-feedback intranet portal, feedback box or the whistle-blower system and the Skip-Level platform to report potential breaches.
